summer horsecamp

summer horsecamp information

Students will learn to ride and care for a horse while having fun with kids their age.  Students learn safe and sound horsemanship techniques as well as horse care, grooming, tacking up, first aid, nutrition and anatomy. Students also learn that barn chores are an important part of caring for a horse- we will clean paddocks, care for tack, clean brushes and buckets. These important skills become internalized as students enjoy games on horseback coupled with formal riding lessons and working with their peers.
